InfraMed

Empowering post-stroke recovery with NIR.

THE PROBLEM

Reperfusion
without repair.

Ischemic stroke:

#1 Cause of long-term disability.
#2 Cause of death worldwide.

Tissue
Loss

Delayed
Protection

Ongoing
Damage

Limited
Recovery

Current ischemic stroke thrombectomy procedures successfully remove the occluding blood clot but do not address or restore the downstream tissue and cellular damage caused by prolonged ischemia.

OUR APPROACH

Beyond
clot removal.

Our approach uses near-infrared (NIR) light therapy to target ischemic brain tissue and stimulate cellular repair pathways that are not addressed by clot removal alone.

By enhancing mitochondrial function, we aim to support recovery and restore function in damaged regions beyond reperfusion.

MARKET STRATEGY

Built for stroke
workflow.

Market strategy

Our market strategy focuses on integrating the device into the already existing mechanical thrombectomy workflow, allowing stroke centers to adopt the technology without major changes to already existing procedures or infrastructure.

We target a rapidly growing stroke therapeutics market projected to exceed $36B by 2031. Initial efforts will prioritize partnerships with comprehensive stroke centers, neurointerventional physicians, and catheter distributors to establish clinical validation and early adoption.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

Designed Beyond
Reperfusion.

Current Standard of Care

Thrombectomy

  • Removes clot
  • Restores blood flow
  • No direct neuroprotection
  • Standalone procedure

Previous PBM Approaches

Transcranial NIR

  • Non-invasive delivery
  • Poor tissue penetration
  • Inconsistent energy delivery
  • Failed large-scale efficacy trials

NTX Therapeutics

Localized Intravascular PBM

  • Delivers light directly to target tissue
  • Supports mitochondrial recovery
  • Integrates into thrombectomy workflow
  • Combines reperfusion + protection
